SNOWY DUBLIN MORNING
All around there is stunning snowstorms,
The traffic crawls and makes it way
Through the driven snow
Reminding me that newness is in the air,
I am snug on the Dart,
With my big brown coat and woolly hat,
Warm inside, cold outside
Perhaps all the snow and ice will kill all the germs
Bringing newness and growth.
Oh the magic of seeing snowball fights,
And red rooftops white with Jack Frost’s breadth
It is as if Winter says goodbye with snow,
Soon it will be slush and sleet and wet,
But for now,
It is magical and amazing,
Football fields look lonely without players and a ball,
Trees look wonderous and magical
Still showing their regal quality,
Drop by drop the snow falls
And everyone is a child once more,
Picture post-card magic,
I capture the moment,
Just before I step off the Dart
And crunch my boots through the magic
Of a Snowy Dublin morning.

DARK WINTERS NIGHT
What a night,
The rain pelted the windows,
The sound heavier
As the hours progressed
MISTY MORNING
Misty, grey, November morning,
Everything still,
The sky is grey,
As the rain falls
THE HORSE
Has there ever been a more magnificent creature,
Such dignity and elegance,
And a sense of superiority,
