SUMMER GARDEN

The summer morning dawns,
The rain has blessed the thirsty plants during the night,
The sun shines on the glistening shrubs and trees,
As if a busy hand had hand polished them all,
Till they shone,

Crimsons, evergreens and yellow shrubs abundant,
Slowly the sun takes its total power,
And yet another summer morning awaits us,
The little pansies almost dance with delight,

A lonely daffodil holds on till the very end,
The Garden awaits us,
The serenity, the colour, the magnificence,
And most of all our appreciation.
